Rishabh Pant attacks England legend: Known for his savage responses in the field, Rishabh Pant recently gave an example of one of his retorts to Michael Vaughan and Adam Gilchrist.
Rishabh Pant, the wicket-keeper batsman for the Indian cricket team, is well recognized for his witty repartee on the field. He recently gave two examples of this during a conversation with Michael Vaughan and Adam Gilchrist. When Pant was invited to slam the former England captain in a podcast session co-hosted by Vaughan and Gilchrist, he responded with a great joke. Pant remarked, “I would say you’re focusing too much on social media, Vaughan.” Pant only said, “He’s in his own zone, you cannot disturb these kind of people,” in response to the request to sledge Gilchrist. I don’t have much to say to him. Pant was also questioned about his thoughts on how the England team should defeat Australia. The Indian player retorted that rather than punching every delivery, the hitters should use the cut shot more often.Love it @RishabhPant17 @clubprairiefire đ https://t.co/wG4vnBBvSo

“They are already aware of what must be done. As a batsman, I would suggest doing one simple thing: try cutting the ball rather than punching it. I would say that to the Bazballers in England. Due to the increased likelihood of being captured or just getting away when punching the ball. The finest place to get cuts and pulls is Australia. You will not be unduly disturbed by the larger ball. It will mostly be back of length. These men off-stump bowl the broader ball a little bit wider. You can punch the ball more effectively in England.
Meanwhile,  Pant heaped praise on youngster Yashasvi Jaiswal and said that the 22-year-old is someone who stays in the present and doesn’t think about the future.
Jaiswal recently won the ICC Men’s Player of the Month for February 2024, beating competition from New Zealand superstar Kane Williamson and Sri Lanka opener Pathum Nissanka.
The left-handed batter is currently leading the ICC World Test Championship in runs scored, and two brilliant double-hundreds in back-to-back Test matches against England in February have helped him along.
Pant said of the young players’ “amazing” job of stepping up for India during a conversation with Adam Gilchrist and former England captain Michael Vaughan at the Club Prairie Fire podcast.
He went on to say that Jaiswal will succeed if he kept up his current performance level.
“Absolutely wonderful. how every young person is stepping up. It’s been truly great, in my opinion, because the team has added a few additional members throughout time. You won’t always see them acting, but when they do, and they keep their heads down, well. similar to not overthinking things… Furthermore, Jaiswal prefers to keep his head down and carry out his tasks without interruption. Pant stated on the Club Prairie Fire podcast, “And I think there’s a long way to go if he keeps on doing that.”
