For Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s planned visit to the city on Monday, Mumbai Police have released a thorough traffic advice to guarantee easy travel.
Significant changes have been made to the regular traffic flow along the city’s main thoroughfares, which will take effect from 7 am to 2 pm.
One significant change is the opening of Rambhau Salgaonkar Road, which permits unrestricted traffic flow in both directions from the Sayyed Jamadar Chowk to Volga Chowk.
Moreover, cars would be able to access the portion of Maker Tower 04 that runs from Jamanalal Bajaj Marg to Usha Mehta Chowk in both directions.
Likewise, two-way traffic would be facilitated by the part that runs from Jamanalal Babaj Marg to NCPA Gate No. 4.
From 7:00 am to 2:00 pm, parking restrictions will be strictly enforced in designated areas.
The following roads are included in the affected area: Barrister Rajni Patel Marg, Jamanalal Bajaj Marg, Vinay K Shah Marg, Ramnath Goika Marg, Dorabaji Tata Marg, NCPA Marg, Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose Marg, Captain Prakash Pethe Marg, Rambhau Salgaonkar Road, Gen. Jagannath Bhosle Road, Madam Cama Road, and Best Road.
Before the Prime Minister arrives, commuters are urged to carefully arrange their travel itineraries according to the traffic regulations in order to avoid any disruptions.
One of PM Modi’s schedule items in Mumbai is his presence at the Reserve Bank of India’s (RBI) 90th anniversary celebrations.
PM Modi will arrive in the morning and be flown to the Indian Navy’s helibase in Colaba, INS Shikra. From there, he will travel by car to the RBI building next to Town Hall.
Prime Minister Modi will be the chief guest at the function, but honorary guests will also include Governor Ramesh Bais, Chief Minister Eknath Shinde, and Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman. Deputy Chief Ministers Devendra Fadnavis and Ajit Pawar, as well as Ministers of State for Finance Pankaj Chaudhary and Dr. Bhagwat Karad, are also scheduled to attend.
